Belly Laughs is back, but this time at your house!

Belly Laughs has quickly become the hottest ticketed event in Bristol combining creator Mark Olvers love of making people laugh and eating whilst doing it. Lots of us have found ourselves jostling for a good spot whilst stood in some of Bristol’s best-loved and more eclectic restaurants and bars, jaws still chewing whilst watching some tip-top comedy.

This year is no different except instead of standing upstairs at Small Bar, eating Wings Diner and having an argument about whether gnocchi is pasta or a dumpling (i won), you can be sat in your living room with a takeaway of your choice.

Together with some of Marks comedian friends and familiar Bristol faces (including Russell Howard, Jon Richardson, Alex Lovell, Jayde Adams, John Robins, Joe Wilkinson and more) he’ll be celebrating our glorious city whilst raising money for FareShare South West, Julian Trust, Bristol Old Vic and the Great Western Air Ambulance charities.

So how do you get a ticket to something that will prove to be less smug and irritating than the BBCs “Big Night In?”. You need to head to the crowd funder link , pay what you can and this will release the link for you to follow and watch on the 10th of May at 7:30 sharp.

Belly Laughs is encouraging every ticket-buyer to also order a food and/or drink takeaway from their favourite Bristol indie with participating restaurants being listed closer to the time. I for one will be looking to tuck into this Belly Laughs cocktail kit from Bristol Spirit

To find out more about what’s going on, head to the Belly Laughs website here and use the hashtag #BellyLaughsAtHome on social media to get involved.
