On the 24th of March, the much loved Coffee #1, one of Bristol’s most successful coffee chains, will be leaving the cafe heavy Gloucester Road.
Blaming the sheer saturation of cafes on their desicion to pack up, they’ve said. They just can’t compete anymore. With Cafe Lazz recently moving in next door and Grills and Dips being taken over by an Italian cafe/resturant, I can imagine they’re feeling the squeeze. Their other venues will remain open as usual.
Living practically above it and sharing a back yard with them I’ll miss the smell of fresh coffee and gentle conversation floating up over from their back garden as well as the great coffee.
*NEWS JUST IN*
Tincan Coffee will be taking over the space as of next week. I am one lucky so and so, welcome neighbours!
